lebt und arbeitet als freischaffender Künstler in Hamburg und Berlin; Sprachen: deutsch, englisch, französisch
David zählt zu den prägendsten deutschen Illustratoren seiner Generation. 2010 wurde er durch den Art Directors Club Europe zum Besten Illustrator ausgezeichnet. Seine Illustrationen erscheinen in Die Zeit, stern oder Le Nouvel Observateur und wurden u.a. in der National Portrait Gallery London ausgestellt. Mit Vasmers Bruder legte David von Bassewitz 2014 nach einem Szenario von Peer Meter eine erste Graphic Novel vor und es folgte die von Thomas von Steinaecker geschriebene Biografie Stockhausen: Der Mann, der vom Sirius kam.

Lives and works as a freelance artist in Hamburg and Berlin; Languages: German, English, French
David is one of the most influential German illustrators of his generation. In 2010, he was named Best Illustrator by the Art Directors Club Europe. His illustrations appear in Die Zeit, stern, and Le Nouvel Observateur and have been exhibited at venues including the National Portrait Gallery in London. With Vasmer’s Brother, David von Bassewitz presented his first graphic novel in 2014, based on a script by Peer Meter, followed by the biography Stockhausen: The Man Who Came from Sirius.
